The Research and Application Center of Ataturk’s Principles and History of Turkish Revolution of Haliç University was established on 7 June, 2001 pursuant to sub-clause 2 of clause (d) of article 7 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547 in order to

  • Educate young people in the light of Kemalist thought, Atatürk's principles and reforms and refresh the memory of lecturers on these subjects,
  • Ensure that research and developments related to Atatürk's Principles and Revolution History are carried out,
  • Create a specialized library and archive on Atatürk's Principles and History of Revolution,
  • Organize conferences, seminars and courses and all kinds of other scientific meetings and congresses on Atatürk's Principles and Revolution History and, publish books and articles,
  • Assist lecturers at all levels who teach Atatürk's Principles and Revolution History Courses and encourage knowledge sharing and scientific solidarity among them, and
  • Cooperate with national and international research and education institutions and experts in the field in order to realize the aims and duties of the Center.
